How to Increase Soybean Yield with Dakota Bio

Soybean yield is a major concern for the farmers. They want to see that their investment and hard work pays off. How do you do that with something like soybeans? At Dakota Bio, we find that many farmers will fixate on when to plant, how to seed, and what should be used for seed treatment. Not enough people are focused on what’s needed to supply Nitrogen and other nutrients to the soybean plant. The answer? BOSS Soy30 , BOSS Soy7 and BOSS B4 LiF
Inoculants work by striking a symbiotic relationship between the Bradyrhizobium bacteria and the soybeans themselves. But when are the conditions right for using soybean inoculants? You should consider inoculants if…
  1. Your field has never had soybeans planted in it before.
  2. It has been multiple years since you started a proper rotation crop of soybeans.
  3. Flood, drought, or erosion stripped the soil of nutrients.
  4. The field has lower levels of organic matter.
  5. The environment is perfect, and you rotate soybeans in every other seasonal period.

Why you should inoculate your soybeans

Inoculants are an item we can take out of the academic world and bring into the practical. Look at that name: Bradyrhizobium bacteria. It’s not catchy, and when you Google inoculants, the information varies wildly depending on the focus of your field. Even more frustrating is the abundance of misinformation about why you should inoculate your soybeans. Dakota Bio recommends our Boss Soy 30 inoculant to prep your soybeans for the season. What makes Boss Soy 30 so superb is its ability to create high numbers of effective nodules to fix high levels of Nitrogen.  Soybeans need approximately 5 lbs/acre of nitrogen to produce 1 bushel of beans.

For additional yield increases combining BOSS B4 with BOSS Soy 30 is a winning combination for increased nutrition and crop health.  BOSS B4 breaks down the soils’ natural organic matter to help release additional nutrients to feed your soybeans. BOSS B4 is also an excellent inoculant for solubilizing phosphorous that is tied up in your soil.  BOSS Soy 30 and BOSS B4 supply and maximize efficiency of the most important macronutrients that the soybeans need.

How do I get started with soybean inoculants?

When detailing plans for soybeans, one must plan for the present and the future. Get a soil sample and a professional analysis to find what is best to supplement your incoming crop. The world of inoculants is immense, so not every single option will work for you. At Dakota Bio, we realize that the battle for the life of your crops begins with careful planning. After successfully assessing what your soybeans need, then you can treat with any number of our BOSS inoculants. Make it part of your pre-planting routine. Take a look at BOSS Soy30 and more options!
